Edwin C Taylor

Edwin C. Taylor, age 82, of North Huntingdon passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Arden Courts of Monroeville. Ed was born on September 16, 1941 in Greensburg the son of the late James and Helen (Hutchinson) Taylor. Ed grew up in Herminie working on his grandfather’s farm on Taylor Road. He worked for NCR right out of high school and was offered early retirement at the age of 53. He loved taking his children on vacation and being a coach for PAL Baseball. Ed and Janet traveled all over the world. From Hawaii to Rome, Italy and from Mexico to Alaska. Too many places to mention. Ed was a life member of the Shafton Fire Company. He served as a trustee for and also was on the Shafton Pool League for many years. Ed loved to sit on his back porch and watch all the wildlife in the woods and watch his flowers and garden grow. Ed is survived by his wife of 16 years Janet L. (Peters) Taylor; his children Monica (Pascal) Pittman of MD, Maura Taylor (David Berger) of Pittsburgh, Wade (Robin) Taylor of Breinigsville, PA; Brian (Colleen) Taylor of Texas; his step-children John (Michelle) Lovett of Irwin, JoAnne (Rodney) May of N. Huntingdon, Joseph Lovett of Greensburg and Alan Lackey of North Huntingdon; 11 grandchildren; his sister-in-law Venie Ann Angelina of Madison; and two nieces; and his loving dog Sheba. Janet and her family want to thank Arden Courts of Monroeville for taking loving care of Ed in his last few months. He loved doing activities with Lauran and Donna and too many loving aides to name. He liked talking to his resident friends George and Terry. They also want to thank Joe and Brett from Gallagher Home Health Services and Monarch Hospice and Preacher Josh for making Ed’s last day very peaceful. Janet will miss all of you. There will be no visitation and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
