<p>Charles Milton Callaway, 85 of Burgess, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Hilda Callaway, and his sister Faye Morrison.</p><p><br></p><p>Chuck is survived by his loving and devoted wife Vivian Callaway; his sons David Callaway of Sykesville, MD, and Charles Callaway (Janelle) of Roanoke, VA; step-son Jim Brown (Michael) of Roanoke, VA and step-daughter Denise Brown of Middlesex; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Chuck was a firefighter with the D.C. Fire Department for 30 years, and with the Coast Guard Reserves for 35 years. He also worked for Waste Management for 24 years.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Historic White Marsh Church in Lancaster. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest contributions to Historic White Marsh Church Cemetery Fund.</p>

Obituary

Charles Milton Callaway, 85 of Burgess, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Hilda Callaway, and his sister Faye Morrison.


Chuck is survived by his loving and devoted wife Vivian Callaway; his sons David Callaway of Sykesville, MD, and Charles Callaway (Janelle) of Roanoke, VA; step-son Jim Brown (Michael) of Roanoke, VA and step-daughter Denise Brown of Middlesex; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
