Elgiteen Joshen

Elgiteen Joshen (Momma), 81, was born on May 11, 1942, to Mattie and Albert Favors of Chattanooga, TN. She completed this earthly journey on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 7:40 PM

She was employed at Smurfit-Stone Container until her retirement.

Elgiteen was a faithful church member and director of the choir at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.

Elgiteen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Joshen, Sr; daughter, Cynthia Joshen; son, Patrick Joshen; several sisters, Viola James, Betty Lou Favors, Grace Carter, Elizabeth Favors, and Clara McPherson; brothers, Albert Favors, Jr, Jerry Favors, and Tommy Lee Favors.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Norman Joshen, Jr., Kenneth Joshen, and Dexter Lebron Joshen (Katie Joshen); grandson, Keyshaun Joshen; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Lee Jackson; one brother, Jimmy Favors of Chattanooga, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

She will be truly missed and our hearts will ache with sadness. Many tears will flow. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. She will always hold a special place in each of our hearts. We will meet again, now rest, our beautiful angel.

Public viewing will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a 12:00 noon funeral service.

Interment: Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
