SMYTH, PEARL DOREEN (nee LEVERE)

A truly amazing woman, Pearl Doreen Smyth, passed away peacefully at the Kemptville District Hospital on March 15, 2024, in her 90th year, with her family by her side. Although her time in sickness was brief, her spirit, tenacity, and dedication to her family persisted to the end. Doreen loved adventures and was always ready for another. She travelled at every chance. Her adventurous spirit was matched with her creative ability and love for her family. She was happiest when she was with her large and extended family.

Doreen Smyth dear mother of Sharon Crowder, Brian Morrow (Allan Alvstad), Penny Jastremski (Ronald), Judy Fischer (Daniel) and Gerry Cook (Jeff). Cherished Grandmother of Jason Crowder (Kim McGinnis), Pamela Crowder, Nicholas Keys (Katrina), Melinda Keys (Adam Mortimer), Ryan Fischer (Kerri), Tawnya Fraser (Skyler), Joel Haystead (Jenn) and Tori Cook. Great Grandmother of Tyson, Amber, Mason, Breanna, Kaleb, Ayden, Aubree, Mackenzie and Brielle. Sister of Lylla Mackey (Doug) and Pauline Fisher (Wally). She was predeceased by her parents Dawson Levere and Pearl Levere (Holmes) by a son James Levere, by a sister Lois Cronin, by brothers Dawson Levere Jr, Lyle Levere and Oscar Levere. Doreen is survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Levere and Jane Levere and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the MACKAY Funeral Home, 416 Dibble St. West, Prescott ON K0E 1T0 on Monday, March 25th, 2024, from 1-3 & 6-8 pm. Funeral service at Prescott Chapel - MACKAY Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Interment in Blue Church Cemetery at a later date.
