Hudson Falls

Gerald “Jerry” Donnelly Sr., 71, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on July 24, 1952, in Glens Falls, he was the son of late John and Esther (Allen) Donnelly.

On February 16, 1974, Jerry married the love of his life, Bonnie Russell in Hudson Falls. They spent a wonderful 34 years together until her passing in 2008.

Jerry loved being a mechanic, fixing cars, driving his 2005 Mustang, and was always devoted to his kids and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jerry was predeceased by his son, Terry LaPointe; his brothers, Dennis and Rick Donnelly.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Jerry (Jessica) Donnelly, Jr., Jean Donnelly, and Joe (Megan) Donnelly; his grandchildren, Christopher, Bonnie (Kameron), Zachary, Brianna, Justin, Jr., Elizabeth and Ally; his great granddaughters, Jeanie, Elena, and June; his brother Tim Donnelly (Althea); his sister, Karen Steele (Cam); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Jerry’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
