<p> Betty L. McMonigal Bennett, 88, of Chambersburg, passed away, Monday March 18, 2024, at Providence Place Senior Living. Born Monday, February 17, 1936, daughter of the late John and Margaret McMonigal in Huntingdon County. Her beloved husband of 65 years, Harold L. Bennett preceded her in death.</p><p><br></p><p> Betty loved her grandsons more than anything in this world, Derek and Ryan. She loved cooking, traveling, and motorcycle riding with her family. She maintained a winter home in Florida for over twenty years. Betty enjoyed reading and coupons.</p><p><br></p><p> Betty is survived by son Darrel L. Bennett with wife Vicki of Biglerville, daughter Vickie L. Olsen with husband Lars of Chambersburg; and two grandsons Derek Bennett Boone and Ryan Michael Boone. Betty being part of very large family has many brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by son Rodney L. Bennett and son-in-law James Boone. </p><p><br></p><p> Private arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc. Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish PO Box 97104 Washington, DC 20090. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
