Mary Noel Mundt, 83, of Ottumwa, died at 11:32 a.m. March 18, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

She was born December 15, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to Fred and Mary Graham Kinsley. Noel married Frederick E. Mundt III on May 6, 1961.

Moving to Ottumwa while she was in middle school, Noel graduated high school from Ottumwa Heights in 1958 and from Iowa Success School of Business.

Noel was a phlebotomist for 31 years, working for the Southeast Iowa Blood Center, which became Mississippi Valley Blood Center.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation.

Noel and her husband, Fred, enjoyed traveling to visit their family and especially spending time with their grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Fred; their children, Liz Mundt Padget of Fort Worth, TX, Dan Mundt of New Mexico, Chris Mundt and Marc Mundt, both of Des Moines; 4 grandchildren, Sydney Padget, Elle Mundt, Maverick Mundt and Easton Mundt; 2 sisters, JoAnn Boain of St. Louis, MO and Alice (Kenny) Nelson of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Brandon Mundt.

Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22nd at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23rd at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Seton Catholic School.
