Robert G. Burger Sr., 82, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Hershey Medical Center.

He was born on March 31, 1941, in Middletown and was the son of the late Daniel W. Sr. and Helen (Varner) Burger.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and was a member of the Middletown Anglers and Hunters. He was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride. Above all, his family was everything to him.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Adella J. Burger; sisters, Caroline Julian, Gloria Eisenhour and Grace Sultzaberger; a brother, Larry Burger.

He is survived by his son, Robert G. Burger Jr.; two granddaughters, Amanda M. Bailey and Lisa D. Wolf; five grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Reese, Kaladin, and Sebastian; three sisters, Darlene, Joan and Marjorie; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A tribute to his life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 260 E. Main St. Middletown.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services, Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
