Donald McFarland

Donald McFarland, 80, of Connersville passed away early Sunday morning, March 17, 2023 at Reid Health, Richmond.

One of seven children of Craig and Mable Gabbard McFarland, Don was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on September 9, 1943 and graduated from Connersville High School.

Don was employed at Visteon for over 30 years.

In 1995, Don married the former Wanda L. Morrow in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Mrs. McFarland passed away on August 5, 2009.

Don was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking and was an avid reader, especially history and the old west.

Survivors include two children, Donald (Becky) McFarland of Burtchville, Michigan, and Tammy (Brian) Mellert of Euclid, Ohio; three step-children, Brenda Miller of Richmond, Robert Anderson of Connersville, and Allen (Kristen) Anderson of New Palestine; three siblings, Opal Klopp and Luther (Imajean) McFarland all of Connersville, and Kelly Stipp of Portland, Indiana; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his wife of 14 years, Wanda L. McFarland, Don was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Earl McFarland, Eva Chapman, and Ruth Clark.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend John Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
