Valerie Anne Goff Whitecap

<p>Valerie Anne Goff Whitecap, 74, of Plainfield, IN, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was born on August 23, 1949, in Butler, PA, to the late Kendall and Vivian Goff. Valerie taught public speaking at Fort Couch Middle School in Upper St. Clair for 36 years. After retiring from Upper St. Clair, Valerie taught public speaking and media classes at the University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University. Valerie loved to travel, crochet, volunteer, and the theatre and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church and the National Communication Association as a published author. Valerie was survived by her children, Amy Western (Bryan) of Plainfield, IN, and Bradley Whitecap (Krysta) of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, James Goff (Connie) of Section, AL; her grandchildren, Madeline Western, CJ Western, Evander Whitecap, and Titus Whitecap.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA (724-941-3211). A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will be private.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, Valerie would like donations to be made on her behalf to the Alzheimer's Association. https://act.alz.org/site/Donation</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
