Ronald Lee Morrison Obituary

The gates of heaven opened wide and Ronald blazed through in his funny car on March 17, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ronald was born to Edna Chester Morrison and Malcom L. Morrison on July 17, 1947 in Dallas, Texas two minutes after his identical twin brother, Ralph. Ronald and Ralph grew up in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1965. Ronald also attended West Texas State University and the University of Dallas.

Ron started his own plumbing company in Little Rock, Arkansas and there he met the love of his life, Debbie.

After moving to Oklahoma City, Ron started Morrison International Energy and Titan Compressor Systems., Inc. He designed and manufactured Natural Gas compressors and had a patent on them. His compressors are currently in Canada, South America, and the United States.

He loved hunting and fishing and after he and Ralph got older, they continued their love of drag racing. Many fun times were had with his racing buddies and he had the trophies, medals and stories to prove it. He later moved up to racing funny cars with more trophies and even wilder stories to share. After Ron semi-retired, he bought a Harley so he and Debbie could go on rides. That lasted one trip, and then Ron continued to ride with his buddies. Ron had a large group of friends that he continued to see on a regular basis. If you knew Ron, you were his best friend. He was loyal to a fault and would do anything to help his friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Deborah and his twin brother, Ralph.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; son, Allen Lee Morrison and wife, Alma; son, Shane Christopher Morrison; grandchildren, Zachary Lee Morrison and Rachel Nicole Morrison; and his niece, Amber Morrison. He also leaves behind his beloved “babies”, Rupie and Kenzie, and many loyal and trusted friends.

Ron’s twin brother, Ralph, passed away on January 17, 2020. Ron has missed him terribly every day since. On March 17, 2024, Ralph was at heaven’s gate to welcome him as he zoomed through. Now the brothers are together again.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary at South Lakes Chapel.
