<p>LATHAM – Catherine A. “Kay” (Marra) Stockwell passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the age of 90.</p><p><br></p><p>Kay was born in Troy to parents John Marra and Margaret M. (Bowen) Marra and was one of eleven siblings.</p><p><br></p><p>She was raised and educated in Troy and had also resided in Watervliet, Green Island and Latham. </p><p><br></p><p>As a young woman Kay had an adventurous spirit and travelled to Florida where she resided and worked for several years. She later returned to New York and was married to Elmer Roy Stockwell on October 14, 1956. Together they raised a family of three children in Watervliet. When her children were grown Kay took employment with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance in Latham from where she later retired. </p><p><br></p><p>Kay was a charter member of the Latham-Colonie Columbiettes. She enjoyed times spent with her family and playing Bingo. </p><p><br></p><p>Kay is survived by her three children and their spouses, Lenny and Cathy Stockwell, Bob and Jeanne Stockwell and Nancy and Richard Lapierre; her grandchildren, Sean and Kevin Stockwell and Ren and Christopher Lapierre; her brother, Don Rosekrans; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Bowen &amp; Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Friends are invited and may also visit with Kay’s family, prior to the service, on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Entombment will follow the service in Albany Rural Cemetery. </p><p><br></p><p>Donations, in memory of Catherine A. Stockwell, may be made to Center for Disability Services, please note in memo for St. Margaret’s Center, 314 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. </p><p><br></p>
