Glenn Pryor Obituary

Glenn Pryor, age 81, passed peacefully in his home on March 18, 2024. Glenn was born on October 1, 1942 in Porum, Oklahoma to his late parents Isaac and Aolia Pryor of Briartown, Oklahoma. He was raised on the farm with 6 siblings and went to school at Porum, Oklahoma. He graduated in 1960 from Porum High School where he met his wife Billie Louise Scott, who he married in 1961. They raised three children, Karen, Kelly, and Randy at their home in Verdigris, Oklahoma. Glenn worked for a pump supply company installing equipment and as a drilling superintendent at Stewart White and Associates in Tulsa, Oklahoma during his career. Glenn retired in 1991 and spent many of his days at the golf course with his many friends. He and Billie celebrated 51 years of marriage together until her passing in 2013. He loved his St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. He was loved by family and friends and was always lending a helping hand to others.

Glenn is survived by; his 3 children, Karen Smith and her husband Jim of Verdigris, Oklahoma, Kelly McCullough and her husband Michael of Arlington, Texas, and Randy Pryor and his wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Virle Pryor of Briartown, Oklahoma, two sisters, Elaine Cox of Warner, Oklahoma, and Janet Blan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Dustin Russell of Texarkana, Texas, Drew Smith of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Kyle McCullough of Arlington, Texas, Lucas McCullough and wife Victoria of Arlington, Texas, Zachary Pryor and wife Stephanie of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Nicholas Pryor and wife Kayla of Edmond, Oklahoma; and 4 great grandchildren, Andrew Russell of Texarkana, Texas, Madison McCullough of Arlington, Texas, Matthew McCullough of Arlington, Texas, and Judah Pryor of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Glenn’s family is thankful for his friends and neighbors that helped watch over him. Special thanks to Nancy Burns who helped and cared for Glenn. His neighbor Jerry Wilkinson watched out for Glenn and enjoyed their fenceline talks. His golf course buddies Alan Anderson and Bill Edwards shared a special friendship with Glenn and spent many days at the course and at the casinos. He enjoyed his many other friends at Broken Arrow Golf and Athletic Club who he loved spending time with. Thank you all.

Glenn’s family will host a celebration of his life at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore, Oklahoma on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 12:30 PM.
