<p>Edith A. Beach, 83, formerly of Oil City passed away at the Corry Manor on March 16, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Franklin, PA on January 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lester Leroy and Edith Ambretta (Connell) Baker, Sr.</p><p><br></p><p>Edith was a graduate of Franklin High School.</p><p><br></p><p>She married the love of her life, William Stanley Beach, Sr. on March 15, 1958 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006.</p><p><br></p><p>In her younger years, she was a cashier at Woolworth's in Oil City and retired after 27 years as a Residential Services Aide at Polk Center where she lovingly cared for the developmentally disabled. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Oil City, PA. </p><p><br></p><p>Edith liked playing cards with her sister's every week and on special occasions, her brothers played cards with them too. </p><p> She loved the Lord and singing church hymns and she enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage near Hickory, PA. She also enjoyed watching a variety of movies and films with her family, especially older classic movies. </p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory are her sons, William Stanley Beach Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Ohio, and Jeff Beach and his wife, Darla, of Erie, PA; her several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and her siblings, Ruth Hawkins of Cochranton, PA, Lester Leroy Baker, Jr. of Toledo, OH, and Jim Baker and his wife, Linda, of Reedsville, PA. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Debra Ann Coon.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to visit the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Edith will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 am with Major Timothy Duperree, Chaplain of the Salvation Army Venango County Corps., officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Edith will be laid to rest next to her husband at Center Cemetery, Polk, PA.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Edith's name to the Salvation Army Venango County Corps., 217 Sycamore Street, Oil City, PA 16301.</p><p><br></p><p>Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on Edith’s book of memories online at www.WarrenFH.com.</p>
