On Mar 8, 2024, Jeanette (Jean) Long passed away at the age of 89 years. Jean was born near North Battleford, SK. Her family moved to the Claresholm, AB region where she went to school and married Donald Long in 1950. She and Don moved to Calgary in 1964 and then settled in Olds in 1966. After Don passed in 2009, Jean moved to Provost in 2014. In 2019 she moved to an Edmonton retirement home specializing in memory care. Jean loved old-time dancing, baking, playing cards, and camping. She is survived by 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of other tributes, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of AB and NWT. A celebration of life will be held at a later date
