<p>William E. Waite</p><p>West Winfield, NY</p><p><br></p><p>William E. Waite 84, of West Winfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Pines at Utica Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born on September 21, 1939 in West Winfield a son of the late William and Grace (Connors) Waite. After he was born his family relocated to Buffalo. When he was 14 years old he returned to West Winfield to help his uncle Larry Connors on his farm.</p><p><br></p><p>He graduated from West Winfield School in 1957. On February 13, 1965 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Johnson whom he shared 43 wonderful years of marriage until her untimely passing on August 2, 2008.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in West Winfield and a past member of the Henry Hiteman Engine &amp; Hose Company in West Winfield.</p><p><br></p><p>Bill dedicated his life to his family and took pride in his flowers and gardens. His strong work ethic showed as he barely missed a day of work. He is remembered by his family and friends for his kind heart and smiling eyes.</p><p><br></p><p>Bill is survived by his children, David (Kristen) Waite, Richard (Jill) Waite, and Sharon (Bruce) Jaquay, his grandchildren, Meagan (Greg) Ponshock, Joseph &amp; Jonathan Waite, Deanna (Kyle) Slack, Jenna (Nate) Doehnert, Nadine Waite, Braden and Emilee Jaquay, Great Grandchildren, Mason and Margaret Ponshock, Austin, Abbey and Richard Slack, Lincoln Doehnert. He leaves his sisters Celeste (Henry) Jurewicz, Jeanne (Frank) Ferrando, Cindy (Bob) Ellis, Nadine Russell, Pam (Jim) McClurg, and sister-in-law Doris Young, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Maureen Baker, a granddaughter Jackie Jaquay and brothers-in-law, Tom Russell and Jerry Young, a sister-in-law Barb (Ed) Rhyde.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to sincerely thank Champion Farms for treating him like family and their continued love and support throughout the years. They would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the 3rd floor staff of the Pines at Utica for their years of exceptional care and treating him with dignity.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in West Winfield where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Rendell Torres officiating. Interment will be in the spring in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 365 West Main St in West Winfield.</p><p><br></p><p>For those who wish please consider a contribution to Mt.
