Bunnion Carter Kiser

CLINTWOOD-Bunnion “Cob” Carter Kiser age 67 of Big Smith Ridge Road passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. Born in Dickenson County he was a son of the late Bunnion and Verta Silcox Kiser. He was of the Baptist faith and last employed as a coal miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jennings Counts and Zora Kiser and maternal grandparents, Luther and Tead Silcox, one daughter, Brandy Kiser, siblings, Carmel Ray “Buck” Kiser, Donna Colley Robinson, Linda Gay Colley and Verta Darlene “Peachy” Coleman and two nephews Johnny and Mitchell Colley.

Survivors include four children, Daniel (Lisa) Kiser, Clinchco, VA, Jessica (Mohamed) Soliman, Johnson City, TN, Tabitha Kiser, Clinchco, VA and Andy (Trista) Kiser, Haysi, VA, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Randy Kiser, Appalachia, VA and Johnny “Boo” Kiser, McClure, VA, one sister, Dianna (Michael) Wood, Clintwood, VA, mother of his children, Tammy Branham and a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday March 19, 2024 at Haysi Funeral Home with Robbie Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Wood Family Cemetery, Nealy Ridge, Clinchco, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
