JAMES RAYMOND McKNIGHT

James R. McKnight, 68, Groveport, OH.

On the Lord’s appointed day, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, he recalled the soul of his son, James R. McKnight, to have an everlasting life with him.

He was born in Xenia, OH on July 31, 1955. James attended Central State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Printing & Photography. He was a talented keyboardist with a natural gift as a musician. James' passionate love of music was recognized by all who knew him.

He was also a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator with the Department of Public Utilities (Division of Sewage & Drainage) for the City of Columbus. James retired from his career in city government on April 30, 2019

and maintained faithful service for 36 years and 8 months as a dedicated employee.

Most importantly, he accepted God as his personal savior. Living relatives include his daughter, Ebony (California) and son, Armando McKnight (Ohio); siblings, Bretta Huffmon and Montina (Tinna) Buckley (Arizona); seven grandchildren (Ohio): granddaughters, Kali, Renee & Brianna McKnight and Daisha Lanter; grandsons, Dominique, Jourden and Adrian McKnight.

Those who were recently called before him include his son, Jan McKnight (Ohio); mother, Anna Buckley (Arizona), father, Larry Connelly (Ohio); grandmother, Maggie McKnight (Ohio);

grandfather, Raymond McKnight (Ohio).
