Brittany Charlotte Guthrie

Brittany Charlotte Guthrie, age 37, passed from this life on March 15, 2024 in her native city of Alexandria, Alabama. Born on January 28th, 1987, in Anniston, Alabama, she was a joyful spirit, characterized by her sweet, welcoming nature and keen sense of humor. She loved people and people loved her. She had a personality that you were drawn to no matter who you were. Brittany was a graduate of Alexandria High School and continued her educational pursuits at Gadsden State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Law. She recently worked at Twin Bridges Golf Course in Gadsden and developed special relationships with many people there. She loved her job working in the clubhouse and pro shop. Throughout her life, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and later Hill Crest Baptist Church where she participated in fellowship and found spiritual solace.

Brittany was blessed with a loving family and is survived by her grandparents and adoptive parents, Jerry and Charlotte Guthrie, her father Baron Reaves, her aunt and uncle, Michelle and Sam Price, her sister and brother-n-law Anna and Will Burford and their children Jett and Ryleigh, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and her beloved dog Fancy. Brittany is preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Guthrie Broadwell, grandparents Jean and Levert Formby and Catherine and Roy Guthrie as well as her beloved bulldog and best friend Lola.

Funeral services will be held at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 20th at 2:00 p.m. with David Gilmore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Brittany’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of all those she touched, and her memory will be cherished eternally.
