Jeanne L. Bizousky, 82, of Lehighton and formerly of Effort, passed away on Friday, March 15 in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, Lehighton.

She was the wife of the late Richard C. Bizousky. They had been married for sixty two years before his passing in 2021.

Born in Columbus, OH she was a daughter of the late James and Lois (Paugh) Alspaugh.

Jeanne worked as a monitor in the Pleasant Valley School District. Prior to that, she had worked in the Effort United Methodist Church Day Care and at Scotty's Fashions. The biggest part of her life though was foster care, which she had done for many years.

She had attended the Middlecreek Christian Church in Kresgeville. Jeanne was a huge Elvis fan.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra LaBar and her husband Charles of Effort and Maija Frable and her husband Troy of Sciota; two sons, Richard C. Bizousky II and his wife Charlotte of Effort and Brent Bizousky and his wife Lori of Kunkletown; two sisters, Marsha Morris and her husband David in FL and Jeannette McPeek in OH; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard C. Bizousky III.

No services are scheduled at this time.
