<p>Delmer Ray Brotherton (Skip) </p><p><br></p><p>“In memory of Skip, the cowboy who lived life in the saddle, we bid him farewell. His spirit now gallops freely in the celestial pastures, where the wind whispers secrets only cowboys understand. He passed on March 16, 2024 at the age of 65. Born on May 3, 1958 in Ozark, to the late Ray and Irene Brotherton of Charleston, Also, preceded in death by his nephew Joshua Gossage.</p><p><br></p><p>Skip graduated with the class of 1977 in Charleston. He was able to enjoy many different jobs, but his favorites was being a long haul driver and ranching. His lifelong passion was participating in local rodeos and teaching the young ones the ropes. </p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his beloved Sandra Sehl, one son Tyler Brotherton and wife Faith of Clarksville, one daughter Joy Holman and husband Rick of Van Buren, two sisters Ninette Gossage and husband Ronnie and Jeannie Booker both of Alma. Four grandchildren Bryar, Natalie, TySon and Max Brotherton. Skip was blessed to have many family and friends by his side during his illness for this we will feel forever blessed.</p><p><br></p><p>With lots of love and compassion cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to express an heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff of Select Specialty Hospital for excellent care and compassion they showed Skip and family. </p><p><br></p><p>Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
