<p>Lena Marguerite (Clothier) Story, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024. Lena was the youngest of eight children born to Tom and Dora Clothier on August 30, 1927, in Greene County, Illinois. Lena was married to Roy Edward Story on January 23, 1949, at Kane Baptist Church. They lived the vast majority of their married life in Jerseyville, Illinois and were married sixty-seven years before Roy’s passing in 2016. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lena worked for Brown Shoes and the ASCS for many years. She also enjoyed serving as treasurer of her church, First Baptist Church of Jerseyville, for multiple years. </p><p>While they had no children of their own, Roy and Lena had the privilege of helping to raise their nephew, James Clothier. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, and they left behind two sons, Kyle and Kurt, and three grandchildren. In total, Roy and Lena were blessed with four generations of nieces and nephews whom they loved and who, in return, loved them. Lena had the gift of hospitality. She often gathered family and friends making each one feel special while precious memories were created for all. </p><p>Lena was preceded in death by her husband, parents and all seven of her siblings and their spouses. </p><p>Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am on Friday, March 22, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Jerseyville. </p><p>Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. </p><p>In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jerseyville. </p><p>Condolences may be left at www.andersonfamilyfuneral.com </p>

Lena Marguerite (Clothier) Story, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024.
