Steven Joseph Cedotal, Sr., 84, a native of Paincourtville, Louisiana and resident of  Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on March 16, 2024.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, Louisiana, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, Louisiana, from 8:00 am until the religious service at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Navarre Cedotal; daughter, Donnell Cedotal LeBlanc and husband, Drew; sons, Steve Joseph Cedotal Jr. and Jay Michael Cedotal and wife, Whitney; grandchildren, Amber LeBlanc, Alec LeBlanc and Macie Cedotal Crochet and husband, Taylor; sisters, Emily Cedotal Domingue and Sartola Cedotal Gros and husband, Albert Sr.; brothers, Philip "P.J." Cedotal Jr. and wife, Linda, Caroll Cedotal and wife, Margie, and Darryl Cedotal; and sister-in-law, Ruth Cedotal.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Daigle Cavalier and husband, Frank; father, Philip Cedotal, Sr. and wife, Hilda; sisters, Betty Cavalier Robert and husband, Dudley and Nancy Cavalier Gaudet and husband, Pierre Sr.; brother, Augustin "A.J." Cedotal; and grandmother, Louise Boudreaux Cedotal.

Steven loved visiting with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid musician and loved playing his guitar and listening to music. He enjoyed camping, traveling, dancing, and watching LSU and Saints football. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Napoleonville for 33 years. After retiring from the postal service, he worked at St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Paincourtville for 13 years. A special thanks to all family and friends who prayed and helped along the way, including the staff of Thibodaux Regional Health Systems Home Health and Journey Hospice.
