<p>With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of William Michael Duff on March 15, 2024. William, known for his unwavering love and dedication, leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories.</p><p><br></p><p>William was a pillar of strength and love to his family. He was the devoted father of Jennifer Schmitt and her husband Eric, and Michelle Taylor and her husband Jim. His love knew no bounds, as he delighted in the presence of his grandchildren, Mark and Will Taylor, and Carmyn Schmitt.</p><p><br></p><p>William, affectionately known as Noak by his family, was a beloved brother to Polina Bowers and her husband Edgar, Brenda Varley and her late husband Bob, Ed Duff and his wife Betty. Though he is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Duff and Carmen Virlee (nee Alford) Duff and his brother, the late Gene Duff and his wife Eleanor and his niece, Conna, his spirits live on in the cherished memories they shared.</p><p>William's kindness extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. His former wife, Sharyn Duff, also mourns his loss.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service to honor William's life will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11:00 am. While interment will be private, the memories of William's life will forever bloom in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org), a cause close to William's heart.</p><p><br></p><p>William Michael Duff's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know him. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
