Colleen Kirk was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico August 30, 1935 – died in Coolidge, AZ, May 24, 2018. Her father Jim Clancy was a National Park Ranger which gave Colleen the wonderful benefits of living in Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Montezuma Castle and Casa Grande Ruins National Parks. Her Mother Rena (Parker) Clancy was an accomplished dancer and instructor, including teaching in Coolidge, Casa Grande, and Florence. Colleen was married to her high school sweetheart Don Kirk who preceded her in death by only 2 weeks. Married for almost 65 years, they are together again in heaven. She is survived by her children Sandra C. Kirk, Janelle K. Judge, and James P. Kirk. Six grandchildren Matthew Sharp, Kyle Sharp, Heather Judge, Meredith Judge Casimiro, Andrew Bon Figlio, James Kirk Jr. and six great grandchildren. Her sister Kathy Parker and brother Mike Clancy live in the area. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was caring and supportive and will be missed terribly. Girl Scouts was an early and life-long interest. In high school she was a member of the senior scout troop that raised enough money to take a bus trip to New York and Washington, DC. , and was a scout leader for her children. She was an avid reader and did many things for the Coolidge Library. Colleen worked along-side her husband Don as the co-owner of Kirk’s Tires. As a local business woman Colleen was active in the Junior Women’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, and many other community activities. There will be private family service as well as a memorial service. The date and location of the public memorial service which will be for both Don and Colleen, will be announced at a later time.
