Robert Anthony Pomante, born October 16, 1934, departed this world on March 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering devotion as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His peaceful transition occurred at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, surrounded by the warmth of his loved ones.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Matteo and Emilio Pomante, his brother, John Pomante, his sister, Lillian Tacconelli, and his daughter, Tina Pomante. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, his sons, Michael and Robert, his daughters, Michele Vandetty and Lisa Jaffe, his cherished granddaughters, Lisa Vandetty, Gina Vandetty, Krista Vandetty, and Danielle Jaffe, his grandson, Andrew Jaffe, his nieces, Amy Orner, Robin Gilroy, and Kelly Collas, and his nephew, Todd Gray.

A true entrepreneur at heart, Bob's journey led him to own a deli in Delaware County, PA, before transitioning to a successful career in fireplace sales, where he dedicated over twenty years of service. As an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War, Bob's commitment to his country was unwavering.

Bob found joy in life's simple pleasures, including bird watching, cooking, and enjoying cherished moments with his beloved pets, including his faithful companion Maggi. A dedicated Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, Bob's enthusiasm for sports was contagious.

Among his many hobbies, Bob was an avid gardener, finding solace and happiness in tending to his backyard oasis and sharing conversations with his neighbors.

Bob's absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His kindness, gentleness, and generosity will be cherished memories held close to the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

An intimate gathering in celebration of Bob's life will be held by his family this spring. Though he may have departed this realm, his spirit will endure, perpetually residing in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his presence. His memory shall serve as a beacon of light for generations to come.
