She departed from this world in Canton, Michigan, leaving a legacy of love and lifelong learning.

Phyllis's involvement in city functions, her role in the Wayne Garden Club, and her contributions to the Friends of the Wayne Library were testaments to her unwavering commitment to public service and her passion for fostering growth and beauty in every corner of her world.

Her love for the community was paralleled by her devout faith and service at the First Congregational Church of Wayne. As a longtime member, Phyllis's faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and comfort, which she shared generously with others.
