Sherry Hulse Obituary

Sherry Hulse, age 78, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away Friday (March 15, 2024) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born October 31, 1945 in Tacoma, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Nelson and Gloria Louise Thoren Malley. She was a member of Honaker Church of Christ and had a great love for people. She never met a stranger and devoted her time as a volunteer at the local food bank. She had been employed as a school bus driver for Tran Quest. An avid Seahawks and Mariners fan, she enjoyed watching sports and NASCAR, going bowling and doing cross stitch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Rose Malley and her step-father, Bert Perry; infant daughter, Tina Marie Farmer; former husbands, Frank Browning and David Farmer; and one son-in-law, Rodney Tiller.

Survivors include her husband, Clay Hulse of the home; three children, Lisa Marie Tiller of Lebanon, Virginia, Duane Oliver Farmer and wife, Renee of Chesapeake, Virginia and Diana Nicole Hogue and husband, Jeffrey of Lebanon, Virginia; six grandchildren, Chris Mitchell, Britny Johnson, Laura Williams, Michael Mitchell, David Farmer and Drew Hogue; six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Raiden, Kenny, Ryleigh, Colton and Layiana; one expected great-grandchild and many beloved extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Randy Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home from 6 PM until 7 PM Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Honaker Church of Christ, P.O. Box 959, Honaker, Virginia 24260.
