Elizabeth Laureen Carcich

<p>Carcich, Elizabeth “Betty” L. (nee Thomas) - 80, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 14, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.</p><p><br></p><p>Born and raised in Lindenwold, NJ, Betty was a 1961 graduate of Overbrook Regional Senior High School. In 1963, Betty married her first husband, the late Vincent Wagner, Sr. In 1971, they moved to Egg Harbor Township, NJ, where they raised their three children. Later, she worked for Chelsea Title Guarantee Company in Northfield, NJ and April, Maudsley and Goloff Law Firm in Marmora, NJ, before retiring in 1998. After retirement, she volunteered for several years at the Shore Medical Center Thrift Shop, which was one of her favorite pastimes.</p><p><br></p><p>In 2003, she met her loving husband, John Carcich. Together, they enjoyed traveling, hunting for treasures at yard sales, and spending time with family, including their seven grandchildren, who Betty delighted in nurturing with love, laughter, and affection. She was also a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, who could often be heard chanting, “E-A-G-L-E-S!”</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, John Carcich; her children, Vincent Wagner, Jr. (Stacey), Thomas Wagner (Donna), and Sharon Gaskill (Eugene); her grandchildren, Ashton, Genna, Peyton, Gillian, Annalise, Reece, and Georgia; her sister, Joyce Rutherford (Lee); her sister-in-law, Joann Thomas; her stepchildren, Sean, Tara, and Kyle Carcich; and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent Wagner, Sr. (d.1999); her parents, Howard Thomas, Sr. and Elizabeth Thomas (nee Martin); her brother, Howard Thomas, Jr.; and her cherished pets, Chloe, Sammy, Roxanne, Pooh, and Sugar. </p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc. 1650 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225 with a gathering of friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 10-11 AM. </p><p><br></p><p>Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.</p>
