<p>Larry Blake, 81, of Hightstown, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ. Born in his grandparents home on North Main St. in Hightstown, he was a graduate of Hightstown High School, class of 1960. He then went onto work for NJ Bell before he found his true passion as Superintendent of Public Works for the Borough of Hightstown. A lifelong resident of Hightstown, he was truly dedicated to the town and the people within.</p><p><br></p><p>He enjoyed saltwater fishing, watching NASCAR, Wednesday nights with “the boys”. But most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was a 60 year member of the Hightstown Fire Department where he held numerous line and executive positions, including Chief for 18 years.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Anne Blake, his daughter Kimberly Fetherolf and her partner Dale Fox, his sons Larry and Michael Blake, his grandchildren, Rachel Castonon and her husband Angel, Ricky Blake, Jinlee Hanna, Genevieve Hanna, James Fox and the newest addition, his great grandson Gabriel Lucas Castonon, as well as many sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 5pm-8pm at the Barlow &amp; Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St, Hightstown, NJ. A Fireman Service will be held at 7:30 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry's memory to the Hightstown Engine Co #1 or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5700.</p><p><br></p><p>Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
