Wednesday.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services to celebrate Vada’s life will be 11 AM Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Ave. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma.</p><p><br></p><p>Vada Laverne (Jones) Gravitt of Moore, Oklahoma, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on January 4, 1931 to parents, Clarence Earl and Bertha (Guthrie) Jones, in Garvin County, Oklahoma. Vada met Earl Gravitt and they were married on June 26, 1949. From this union came three daughters, Priscilla, Pam and Nancy, whom they loved very much. Earl and Vada enjoyed each other’s company, and were known to travel the open waters on cruises, every chance they got. They were longtime members of Dumas Avenue Baptist Church. They transferred their membership to Southern Hills Baptist Church. After Earl passed in 2009, Vada remained a member. In her spare time, Vada enjoyed gardening, making ceramics and became an excellent domino player. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and always enjoyed the family dogs. She will be missed by many.</p><p>Vada was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Earl; 2 brothers, Earl Jones and Carlos Jones; 3 sisters, Virginia Lyons, Wava Price and Sandra Jones; 2 sons-in-law, Larry Hayes and Phil Matheson.</p><p>She leaves many wonderful memories with her </p><p>3 daughters, Priscilla Matheson, Pam Robison and husband, Rus, and Nancy Askins and husband, Mitch;</p><p>1 brother, Jim Jones and wife, Carolyn; </p><p>Grandchildren, Jason Hayes and wife, Debbie, Jeremy Hayes and wife, Melissa, Whitney Cokely and husband, Edward, Russell Robison and wife, Sheridan, Jon Askins and wife, Shelley, Dana Bradley and husband, Brent, Dorraine Matheson and Sabrina Yaw and husband, Dane;</p><p>17 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.</p>
