<p> Linda Sue Wasson, 79, of Topeka, KS formerly of Atchison, KS died on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Topeka, KS surrounded by her family.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 10:45 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Topeka, KS and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences and remembrances may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.</p><p><br></p><p>Linda was born on Jan. 24, 1945 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Joe B. and Mary Louise (Rau) Talbert. She graduated from Nortonville High School in 1968, after returning to high school after having three children. She then continued her education at Vo-tech school earning her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 1974. She worked as an LPN at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS. She went back to school again and earned her Horticultural degree in 1985 and worked as a horticulturalist for Burns Floral, Topeka, KS. Linda was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Topeka, KS and enjoyed doing paintings, collecting antiques and raising plants. </p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include two sons Craig (Michelle) Sollars, and Frankie (Michelle) Sollars, both of Topeka, KS, a daughter Angela Thomas, Topeka,, KS, her mother, Mary Louise Talbert, West Fork, AR, two brothers Jerry (Shirley) Talbert, Eudora, KS and John (Kim Yen) Talbert, Suisun City, CA, four grandchildren Reece, Boyd, Michael, and Richard Sollars, and eight great grandchildren. Her father preceded her in death. </p><p><br></p>
