David M. Kirby, 75, of Heathsville, died peacefully at home on March 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Helen Kirby; brother, Timothy Kirby; and wife, Patricia Kirby.

He is survived by his loving and devoted partner Laura M. Green; daughter April Ware; grandchildren Evan and McKenzie Ware, and step-children Samuel, Grace, and Erin Perry. He is also survived by his brothers Michael and Paul Kirby, sister Miriam Sodergren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was an avid fisherman earning multiple citations from the State of Virginia. He was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, and was a founding member of the Northern Neck Corvette Club.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A graveside service and burial will be held at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover, VA on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
