<p>Hobert Thomas "Tom" Harmon, 71 of Kenton, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born in rural Monroe Township, in Pickaway County, Ohio on June 7, 1952 to the late Fred Thomas and Mary Jane (Cole) Harmon. Tom was raised by his step-father, Chalmers "Pete" Breidenbach after his father passed away.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom is survived by his sister, Katie Coyer; brother-in-law, Walt Steele; special family friend, Jonathan Steele, and many nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his brother, George Henry McQuinn and sisters, Nancy Steele, Shirley Johnson, Norma Jean Donegan and Darlene Harmon.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom proudly served his country in the US Army from 1971-1974 during the Vietnam War era where he earned a National Defense Service Medal.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor David Kiper officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery at the committal building with military honors by the Amvet Post 1994 honor guard. Online condolences may be shared with the family at stoutcrates.com.</p>
