Lydia Ester Perez Obituary

Lydia Ester (Veracruz) Perez, 86, of Waco, entered into the Heavenly Gates on Thursday, March 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 beginning at 5:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm at the Holiday Inn, 5701 Legend Lake Parkway, Waco, Texas 76712.


Lydia was born in, Rosebud, Texas on March 25, 1937, to Reyes and Concepcion (Rivera) Veracruz. In 1949 her family moved to Waco. She was a home maker for a while and then decided to return to school and received her G. E. D. She went into social work and worked until her retirement. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.


She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Fabian Moreno, grand -daughter, Celeste Garcia; and siblings; Francisco Segovia, Jesse Segovia, Maria Emma Castro, Raul Veracruz, Florencia Duarte, Reyna Ursua, and Enrique Veracruz.


She is survived by her children; daughters; Linda Marie Jaramillo, and Isabella Christina Ramos; son, SGT 1ST Class, Joseph Moreno; grandchildren, Patricia Cisneros, Concepcion De La Cruz, Ricardo Banda, Jr., Ashly Ibarra, Alexandria Moreno, Joey Casiano, and David Jaramillo; great grandchildren, Esaiah.


Cisneros, Jessenia Ruiz, Andrew Cisneros, Nadia Ruiz, Dylan Cisneros, Jacob Cisneros, Joseph Cabrera, Abigail Cabrera, Michael Banda, Destiny Huerta, Kendra Huerta, Kitsune Petersen, Leonidas Petersen, Neveah Kinsey, and David Huerta, Jr, Adrian Banda, and Johnathan Banda; great great grandchildren; Janie Cisneros, Arya Aguilar, and Madilynn Cisneros.
