Todd C. Sizer Obituary

On February 7, 1969, Todd Sizer embarked on an adventure that would span 55 remarkable years, culminating on March 14, 2024. A beloved husband, father, son, and uncle, Todd’s true legacy is found in the hearts he touched and the lives he shaped beyond the confines of family.

Born in New Castle, Todd is survived by his parents, Chuck and Patti Williams Sizer.

On November 3, 1995 Todd married his beloved wife, the former Jodie King. She survives at home. Todd is also survived by his son, Jordon Rooney.

Todd had worked as a Cyber Security Solution Strategist for Connectwise.

Todd's domain was the football field and the dusty infields of Union's youth sports fields. From steering the 1998 Union Midgets football team to a legendary undefeated season to countless innings of youth baseball, his spirit and guidance echoed in the laughter and cheers of each game and practice. Todd transcended the typical role of a coach, becoming a mentor who imparted lessons far beyond the game.

When it came to his family, Todd was the ultimate fun uncle, always eager to bring smiles to everyone's faces. You could always count on him to say "yes," and he was caught several times shielding the mischievous escapades of his son, nieces, and nephews. He was always down for adventure and couldn’t wait to take trips to the beach with his wife Jodie where he’d wait hours for her to collect seashells

Todd's kindness was his compass, leading him to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. Judgment was foreign to him; instead, he offered unwavering support and encouragement, celebrating the achievements of others as if they were his own. His life was a testament to the power of selflessness and the impact of helping others realize their dreams.

His legacy is not that of someone who passed but of someone who gave—freely and fully. Todd showed us the beauty of a life devoted to lifting others, a lesson that will continue to inspire and guide us.

Todd's story is not one of goodbye but a heartfelt "thank you." Thank you for the smiles, the support, and the countless memories that we will forever cherish.

In addition to his parents, wife and son, Todd is survived by his two brothers, Brad Sizer (Anne) and Brock Sizer (Caitlin), his mother-in-law, Sylvia Casey, father-in-law, Richard King, sister-in-laws, Shelly Coblentz, Carrie Trott (Scott) and Missy Rondeau, his bonus son, Markus Allen, his nephews and nieces, Sebastian, Aleah, Damian, Corey, Sydney, Kobe, Liberty and Sophia, his great nieces and nephews, Koltin, Serenity, Armani, Cay’ah, Cameron, Makenna and Adaleena and his beloved dog, Lola Belle.

Todd was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Russell and Virginia Williams, paternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Sizer and his sister, Kelly Jo Sizer.

Visitation will be on Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A Funeral Service will immediately follow on Sunday at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Crum will officiate.
