<p> Walter, “JR” was born in Holtville, CA to Walter Ervin Tippit. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Linda Link Casey in Temple, TX. He joined the Navy in 1960 and served as a submarine sailor in Cuba in “The Bay of Pigs.” After serving in the U.S. Navy, Walter worked as a mechanic and as an owner-operator truck driver for about 40 years. </p><p><br></p><p> “Jr”, as he was known by family and friends, married Elizabeth Ann Lefevre on November 23, 1966. Together they had two daughters, Cheryl Ann and Cindy Kay. He also had a son, Walter Hamilton. Jr was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and family man. He was a Christian, baptized in the Church of Christ.</p><p><br></p><p> Jr went home to Our Lord March 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; son, Walter Hamilton; and daughter, Cheryl Ann. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Cindy; grandchildren, Joey L. Rogers of Waco, TX, Victoria P. Blake of Austin, TX, and Seth E. Blake of Houston, TX; and great-grandson, Raylen A.B. Rogers of Waco, TX.</p><p><br></p><p> “I am the Bread of Life.
