<p>BECK, MARY LOUISE (NUFER), 90, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at her home.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a native of Louisville, a 1951 graduate of Holy Rosary Academy and a founding member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (formally St. Pius X). Some of her favorite activities included gardening, playing cards, visiting with family and friends and praying the rosary. She was infamous for her spiritual writings and journaling, affectionately named “Gram’s Tidbits.” Her legacy of wisdom, love and unwavering faith in God will live on through her beloved family for generations to come. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Fred H. Beck; sister, Helen Marie (Nufer) Karlen; brother, Albert (Burr) Nufer; a grandchild, Austin Beck; and daughter-in-law, Laura Beck.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her sons, Bob Beck (Sally), Bernie Beck (Paula), David Beck, Tom Beck (Jeannine) and John Beck (Barbara); daughters, Paula Carby, Ann Beck and Jane Mason (Gary); sister, Ruth Ann (Nufer) Thompson; brother-in-law, Glenn Karlen; sisters-in-law, Maggie Nufer and Barbara Beck Eckerle; and her 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26th, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3512 Goldsmith Lane, with private burial at a later date. Visitation will be 12 Noon - 8 p.m. on Monday, March 25th, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m.</p><p><br></p><p>Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health, Mass of the Air and Home of the Innocents.</p>
