James H. Adams, Jr.

Wednesday, August 13th, 1941 to Tuesday, March 12th, 2024


James H. Adams, Jr., 82, of Mays Landing, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2024. He was born in Camden, NJ and raised in Pennsauken, NJ. Jim graduated from Merchantville High School, Class of 1959, and attended Rutgers University- Camden. He spent his entire career in the banking industry, starting at Philadelphia National Bank (PNB). He last worked for Wachovia Bank, which is now Wells Fargo Corporation.


Jim is survived by his best friend and wife of 60 years, Carol Ann Adams (nee Guyon); his son James (Jim) Adams (Kathleen); his daughter Elizabeth Collins (Steve); and, his son Jonathan Adams (Chrissy Watters); 5 Grandchildren: James, Mary, and Christopher Adams, and Lindsey and Taylor Collins; a sister-in-law Barbara Wenzel Adams; a nephew Brian Adams (Rochelle); a niece Sharon Adams Damiano; and a host of Guyon family in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents James H. Adams, Sr. and Christina C. Adams (Osherhoski) and his brother Leonard Adams.


Jim leaves a legacy of hard work and dedication to his wife and family. He enjoyed many hobbies over his life, his favorites of which were photography and ceramics. A Memorial service will be held for Jim Adams at a later date and at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to express sincere thanks and gratitude to Bayada Hospice, especially Patti and Palma, who stayed with Jim and comforted him in his final hours.
