Regina Ann Rydquist, 74, of Colby, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO with her loved ones by her side. She was born February 21,1950 in Goodland, KS to Forest and Dorothy (Scherff) Taylor.


Regina graduated high school from Norton Community High School in 1968. On April 25, 1971, Regina and Rick Rydquist were united in marriage, and to this union three children were born: Jeff, Emily, and Angie. Regina worked at the Northwest Kansas Educational Service Center, Dr. Barlow‘s dental office, The His Shop, and cleaned houses. Regina enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren‘s sporting events, school activities, and family events. Regina‘s day was not complete without watching her favorite daytime soap opera, Days of Our Lives.


She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Rod and Barry Taylor, and granddaughter Esme Rydquist.


Regina is survived by her children Jeff (Erin) Rydquist, Emily (Greg) Griffin, and Angie Rydquist (Travis White); sisters Candy (Alan) Baird and Cheryl Cooper; sister-in-law Judy Taylor; grandchildren Konnor (Grace) Griffin, Gracie Griffin, Alexis Bachman, Aliyah Rydquist, and Xander, Hazen, Isely and Jules Rydquist and new great-granddaughter Sloane Griffin.


Visitation is 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby.
