<p>Harold Dennie Sizemore<br> June 27, 1948 - March 11, 2024<br> Harold Dennie Sizemore, 75, of Herndon Heights, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at his residence due to COPD.<br> Born June 27, 1948, in Wyoming County, WV, he was the son of the late Sherman and Myrtle Sizemore.<br> In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Candace, son Denny, wife Sandra Noel Sizemore, special brother, Will, brother Lee Roy and half-brothers Herman, Sherman, Jr., Raymond, Marion, Jackie, and half-sisters Ann and Vida.<br> After graduating high school, Harold attended Heavy Equipment School and became a certified heavy equipment operator. He also worked as a welder and a telecommunications technician. Later, he worked in the coal mines in WV.<br> Harold loved to fish and hunt. He taught Candace to fish when she was about five years old. She loved to steer the car up Jug Hollow on the way home. Candace and Denny were the joy of Harold's life. When Denny was killed, Harold was too.<br> Harold was a very good cook of anything he decided to make. He enjoyed reading mystery books and watching TV. He once had a leather crafting hobby and made wallets, purses, and belts. When he was able, he liked to plant a garden.<br> Even though he had a fierce temper at times, Harold was a kind, caring, man with a soft heart. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed having company and loved to laugh. He appreciated anything you did for him. He will be greatly missed, no more phone calls, no more hugs, or "Love you, Sissy."<br> Those left to cherish Harold's memory include grandchildren, Isabella "Bell", Abby (Jimmy), Callie (Randy) and Nikki, great grandchildren Bellamy Grace, James Robert and Axel Roy Lee.<br> Sisters Thelma, Hazel, special sister Daisy, half-sister Margie (Lloyd) and brother Tommy (Joy). Nieces Wendy, Kelly, Emily and Lilianne, step daughter Sabrina, son-in-law Ian, special brother-in-law Dennis, special friend Larry.<br> A special THANK YOU to Nurse Tonya and Hospice of Southern West Virginia, Beckley, WV, for the outstanding care given Harold. We deeply appreciate all you did to help him in the final months and days of his life. He spoke highly of you all.<br> Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 12:30 to 2:30 PM, at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center, 1200 Harper Road, Beckley, WV 25801. In keeping with Harold's wishes, he will be cremated. Harold Dennie Sizemore, 75, of Herndon Heights, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at his residence due to COPD.
Born June 27, 1948, in Wyoming County, WV, he was the son of the late Sherman and Myrtle Sizemore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Candace, son Denny, wife Sandra Noel Sizemore, special brother, Will, brother Lee Roy and half-brothers Herman, Sherman, Jr., Raymond, Marion, Jackie, and half-sisters Ann and Vida.
