Bettye Thornton Noland

Bettye Thornton Noland, 73, a resident of Jackson, LA, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her home. She was retired from East Louisiana State Hospital, where she worked as an Administrative Secretary. There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Jackson Second Baptist Church from 9:00am until funeral services at 11:00am, conducted by Rev. Clark Fooshee. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John D. Noland; two sons: Scottie D. Noland and wife Sherri; David J. Noland and wife Edith; four grandchildren: Chris Noland, Megan Wood, Orrin Noland, and John Nolen; three great-grandchildren: Gordon Wood, Bailey Wood, and John H. Nolen; and nieces and nephews: Jill Spencer and family, Ricky Wroten and family, Rusty Wroten and family; and her beloved puppy, Good Time Charlie Got the Blue. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden.
