<p>Leonah Hein passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on March 11,&nbsp;2024. Leonah was born on December 17, 1933 in Summerfield, Oklahoma to Ed&nbsp;and Sadie Uzzel. After graduating from Norman High School, Leonah worked for</p><p>Bell Telephone as an old-school switchboard operator. Thereafter, she worked as&nbsp;a bookkeeper and finally retiring from Custer Cattle Company at the OKC&nbsp;Stockyards. Leonah married Phil Hein on Valentine’s Day in 1953 and they were&nbsp;blessed with four children. In her spare time, Leonah was an accomplished&nbsp;seamstress, avid book reader, and crossword puzzler. She also loved traveling&nbsp;and eventually visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Her real&nbsp;passions were spending countless hours with her grandchildren and serving&nbsp;faithfully at Soldier Creek Baptist Church, Healing Hearts Clinic, and Fellowship of&nbsp;Christian Athletes. Leonah was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Sadie,&nbsp;her husband of 54 years, Phil, and 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her sister,&nbsp;Johna West, her 4 children: Linda Boardman (John), Matt Hein (Vivian), Ben Hein&nbsp;(Tracy), and Leslie Weiss (David): 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, bonus&nbsp;grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.&nbsp;Leonah’s Family would like to thank Phoenix Home Health and Interim Hospice for</p><p>their support, compassion, and care during the past few months.</p><p><br></p><p>The funeral service is Saturday, March 16 at 11am, at Soldier Creek Baptist Church, 9020 SE 15th St., Midwest City, OK 73130. Visitation and viewing on Friday, March 15, 12-8pm with family visitation 5-8pm&nbsp;at Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK&nbsp;73130.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oklahoma Fellowship of Christian&nbsp;Athletes. Her real passions were spending countless hours with her grandchildren and serving faithfully at Soldier Creek Baptist Church, Healing Hearts Clinic, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Leonah was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Sadie, her husband of 54 years, Phil, and 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Johna West, her 4 children: Linda Boardman (John), Matt Hein (Vivian), Ben Hein (Tracy), and Leslie Weiss (David): 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Leonah’s Family would like to thank Phoenix Home Health and Interim Hospice for
