John Levi Craig Obituary

Wales- John L. Craig, 75, a resident of Wales, formerly of Masardis, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 1, 1949, in Masardis, Maine, the son of Elsmore “Bud” O. Craig and Martel (Bragdon) Craig. He attended Edward Little High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On June 18, 1983, on a raft in Masardis, he married his best friend and partner of 40 years, Noelletta (Domingue) Goulet. John had many jobs over the years. He was a Registered Maine Guide and mechanic, but farming was his favorite passion, anything and everything farming. He and Noella raised red deer and later angus cattle. John was a member of the Webster Lodge #164 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, square dancing, and spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife, Noella Craig, a son, John E. Craig and fiancé Lacey Anderson of Mars Hill, two daughters, Tricia Sierra and husband Valentin of Leeds, Tracy Goulet and companion James Martin of Lewiston, a brother, Elsmore “Butch” Craig of Minot, five sisters; Diana Collins and Penny Craig of Auburn, Etta Soucy of Lagrange, Mary Levesque of Brownville, Jean Coolidge of Poland, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Sara Craig Raymond, and two sisters, Phyllis Greer and Gloria Wyatt. Messages of condolences may be made to: www: finleyfuneralhome.com


Craig, John, - 75, a resident of Wales, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, in Wales. A funeral service with military honors and Masonic service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta, Maine at a later date.
