<p>On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Ruth Ella (Neal) King, loving mother and grandmother, passed from this life at the age of 75 at her sister’s home in Coweta with family by her side.&nbsp; </p><p>Ruth was born April 9, 1948 in Claremore, Oklahoma in Rogers County to John Lester and Lula Irene (Isaac) Neal. She graduated from Haskell High School in 1966 and was a homemaker. On December 22, 1966, she married James William King. Together they raised two sons, David and Daniel, and two daughters, Cynthia and Christina. &nbsp; </p><p>Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family outdoors, camping and fishing. They often spent summers at the lake together. She could make any type of food on an open fire that taste amazing.&nbsp; She enjoyed going to garage sales early in the morning to find the best deals. You could often find her reading a book or doing a crossword puzzle. After her children were older, she would crochet, making blankets, scarves and stocking caps for her family. Ruth enjoyed visiting the casino as often as possible. Ruth was known as “the baseball mom” by most people in her sons’ school. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play or perform in any activity they were involved in. </p><p>Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lula Neal, her husband, James King, daughter Cynthia (Hargrove) King, five brothers, Quinton Neal, Albert Neal, Raymond Neal, John Neal Jr. and Richard Neal. She is survived by her three children, David King and wife Becky of Broken Arrow, Daniel King of Haskell and Christina King of Haskell. Grandchildren, Madison King of Tulsa, Ryan King of Broken Arrow, Tiffany Hoover of Stone Bluff, Allen King of Haskell, Brandon King of Haskell, Blake King of Haskell, Joey Crank and wife Emily of New York, Hayley King of Coweta, Valerie Patterson and husband Andrew of Coweta, Lucas King of Haskell, Megan Davis of Broken Arrow and Julie Essary of Hectorville. Two brothers, James and Janice Neal of Morris, Homer (Dean) and Donna Neal of Haskell, four sisters, Mary and Randy Schumacher of Miami, Rita Reddick of Skiatook, Loretta and Ted Ridley of Chickasha and Dorothy Neal of Coweta. As well as five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. </p><p>A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Concharty United Methodist Church located at 19040 Garfield Road Okmulgee, OK at 11:00 am. A dinner will be served at the church following the service. There will not be a burial as Ruth wished to be cremated. </p><p>Family and friends may share memories online at www.brownfamilycares.com.
