Carole L. Yeager Obituary

Carole L. (Anderson) Rhodes Yeager, 88, of Oil City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.


Born February 23, 1936 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Mabel W. Buck Anderson.


After graduating from Oil City High School in the class of 1954, she worked at J.C. Penny and Citizens Bank before getting married. After raising her eight children, she worked for Family Services and Children and Youth Services until she retired.


She enjoyed spending time with her growing family the most. In her younger years, she also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, making and painting ceramics, gardening, and canning the fruits from her garden. Lately, she loved reading and sitting around campfires having hot dogs and marshmallows.


Surviving are five sons, Terry Rhodes of California, Thomas Rhodes of Seneca, Randall Rhodes and his wife Jacki of Reno, Kevin Rhodes and his wife Joyce of Oil City, Gregory Rhodes and his wife Edie of Oil City; two daughters, Cinda Walentoski and her husband Randy of Plumer, and Beth Blum and her husband Mike of Rockland; eight grandchildren, David, Debra, Crystal, Rebecca, Lacey, Luke, Abby, and Tim; and many step children and step grandchildren.


Also surviving are special friends, Frank and Stella Kee, and Ron and Sue Chapin.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Yeager, Sr.; and a son, Jeffery Rhodes.


Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm Sunday in the Morrison Funeral Home.


A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am in the funeral home with Rev. Tim Harmon officiating.


Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.


The family suggests memorials be made to the Venango County Humane Society at 286 S. Main St., Seneca, PA 16346.
