She was born on January 6, 1959 to the late Raymond and Rose (nee: Sprengel) Rommelfaenger.

Donna graduated from North High School and was employed with Amazon.

Donna was a strong, vibrant, women who told you how she felt, her opinions although not always in vogue made people think and listen.  She was absolutely in love with dog sports. Most of her friendships were created as she traveled to shows.  She was involved in many different clubs and venues of the dog world.  She was a true pioneer when it came to health and knowledge of the Rottweiler breed.  She was a go to for much of the dog community for help and understanding of rules and regulations for all things dog related.  She prided herself in achieving firsts for the breeds she loved.   Her love of not only the Rottweiler breed but of the Sloughi became apparent as she even judged a specialty for the breed.  Her contributions to everyone she came across are in-numerable. She contributed to the Rottweiler breed by adding thousands of dog’s pedigrees and photos to Paw Village and Breed Archive over the years. She was an awesomely talented artist who captured the essence of an animal’s character in her dot drawings.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her sense of humor, her dedication, her loyalty, love of Dr. Pepper, and Five Finger Death punch. Special thanks to Tom Jacob and John Smith (JUNE 7, 1946 - JUNE 30, 2023) for all their love and support over the years.  Some of the best words to all of her friends who owned and showed dogs will remain with us all.  “Win or lose, you always take the best dog home.”

Donna is survived by her daughter Jessica (Dennis) Schnerr; her sister Charyl Schelk and her brother Scott Rommelfaenger.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Betty Rommelfaenger and her brother Robert Rommelfaenger.
