Doris Sharp Perry was born April 1, 1940 to the late Herbert and Bessie Sharp (Greenwood). She peacefully passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. Doris was raised a sharecropper’s daughter. Her early childhood was spent in the fields as her parents worked. She was an only child with much love and respect for her parents and their dedication to the land, a trait she inherited and upheld throughout her life. She was married to her loving husband for over sixty years, David Perry. Together they have two children: Julie Ocker and husband Michael; a son Lance Perry and wife Maegan; three grandchildren Erica Dulaney and husband Erik, Evan Ocker and wife Brooke, Alec Ocker; and late great grandson Henry Grey Dulaney. She was a trailblazer for women in the farming industry and had several causes in the community in which she supported. She cared deeply for her family and friends and enjoyed traveling with them throughout the years.

A graveside service will be at the Short Mountain Cemetery, Cowlington, Oklahoma on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. The family will host a visitation following the service at the Tucker School Community Building 15315 Rhino Road Spiro, Oklahoma.
