Joanne Amato

Of Wrentham, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning March 12, 2024 in the comfort and care of the staff at the Wrentham Developmental Center at the age of 81.

Born on February 28, 1943 in Somerville; beloved daughter of the late Paul Amato and Maria C. (Cioffi) Amato. Joanne resided at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham for many years until it closed.

Joanne is survived by her devoted & loving sister Vivian Fay of North Andover and several nieces & nephews.

Family & Friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Joanne's Life to remember the love she shared with others during a Graveside Funeral Service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Street, MEDFORD on Monday March 18th at 1:00pm.
