Trevon Andrew "Von" Benson, age 18, of Mount Pleasant passed away Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at the University of Michigan Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with Leukemia.

Per Von's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held at the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 3033 on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 2:00 pm. A Luncheon will follow the service at the VFW. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the start of service. Memorial contributions may be made to wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel and the VFW.

Trevon was born on December 21st, 2005, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Jeffrey Benson II and Andrea Hickman. Anyone who experienced love from Von knows it was genuine, but he would let you know if he didn't, "mess with you". Von lived his life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to make a mark on the world and everyone he got to know. He is known for his smile and ability to make a room laugh from his goofy nature. He was the light of any room he was in. Von had an incredible strength and never let the challenges that cancer came with affect the way he lived his life.

Trevon is survived by his parents, Andrea Hickman of Mt. Pleasant, Jeff Benson of Lansing; siblings, Victoria McFarlane of Mt. Pleasant, Jeffrey (Kira Ellis) Benson III of Mt. Pleasant: girlfriend and mother of his future son (Trevon Benson II), Makayla Lynn Davidson of Mt. Pleasant: niece, Rosemary McFarlane: future nephew, Jayvon Benson: grandfather, Larry Lee "Clyde" Morgan: grandmother, Sandra Benson: special cousin, Xavier Yancey: many aunts, uncles, cousins, and even more friends that he and his family have made along the way:

Trevon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jeffrey Benson and Shirley (Mack) Benson.
